Gifts of the Magi

     Finally completed one and an half weeks before the deadline and will be entered in Mixed Technique.

     The print, Pomegranate Gold, was very challenging and difficult to work with. Three different designs were created before settling for the three kings of the Orient bearing their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 

    The banner style quilt is embellished with crystals and quilted on a domestic Phaff Quilt Expressions 4. The 2013 challenge fabric, Peacock, was used in the myrrh vessel and on the middle Magi's turban. Quilt measures 32 inches wide by 51 inches in length.
