Botanical Bliss

After receiving a Teacher's Award from Karen McTavish at the HMQS in Salt Lake City and reading her comments a few changes were made to improve the esthetics and add  'BLING!' A band of gold lame was added to the channel between the radial cross hatch and organic quilting and crystals were added at the tips of the trailers of the organic on the outer border. The changes paid off at the Boise Basin Quilt Show where the quilt recieved two blue ribbons from the judges, Kathie Kerler & Elizabeth Spannring, and a cash award.

A New Beginning

Now is the time to start anew and put my toes back into the water of designing and publishing patterns for both needlework and quilting. Rental property management has taken me from my favorite things for the last 12 years and although I have enjoyed the exeriences and people my true love is working with needle and thread.

My most recent needle work design was for the 100th Anniversary of Boy Scouts in America. Copyrights on the words in the Scout Law will not allow me to publish the design at an affordable rate. However, it was fun to work with Gentle Arts threads in creating this piece.

Eternal Chain

In celebration of my nephew's marriage to his sweetheart I created a quilt for their special day and life together for time and all eternity. As they are sealed together in the Twin Falls, ID Temple Miss Jenna will be linked to our family in an "Eternal Chain". Patterns will be available in fall.

New Beginnings

Thanks to my new found friend, Margie Kraft of Mustard Seed Quilting, we were able to take two 1st place ribbons on the 3 dimensional  quilt titled Botanical Bliss. The quilt is now on it's way to the Home Machine Quilt Show in Salt Lake City May 5-7.
