For a Mother's Day adventure my fabulous husband took me to the Home Machine Quilt Show in Sandy, Utah, for the weekend. There were over 700 quilts to view and numberous vendors with there goods and demos. The best part of the show was catching Renae Haddadin placing a Teacher's Choice ribbon on my entry, "Wisteria".

Wisteria
The quilting is done, crystal beaded flowers attached, piped binding made from the focus fabric. I just need to add the sleeve & label. I am pleased to have done the machine quilting myself on my domestic Phaff. This is the 3rd quilt I have machine quilted.

Wisteria in Fabric
My 2012 Hoffman Challenge - I just finished the applique. I'm ready to take the quilt to the machine and do the free motion quilting on my Phaff Performance 2054 using Sulky threads. Then I'll add dimensional Wisteria blooms using a folding technique and the challenge fabric. I like the way the trunk and moss came out. Some leaves are dimensional. Additional leaves in silhouette will be quilted in. I hope my limited machine quilting skills are up to it.
